A Matlab/Simulink-based model for dynamic operation of Double Armature AC Machine

Abstract

A dynamic model of the Double Armature AC Machine (DAM) is established. The dynamic equations are stated, that take into account the machine parameters as deduced from adequate FEM analyses. A Matlab-Simulink model of the machine is shown; the results of dynamic simulations are compared with the results of the experimental tests, allowing to appreciate the reliability and the accuracy of the proposed method.
