The first phase results of an OECD/NEA Working Party on Scientific Issues in Partitioning and Transmutation (WPPT) computational benchmark relevant to Beam Interruptions in Lead-Bismuth cooled and MOX fuelled Accelerator-Driven Systems are presented and compared to each other in this paper. The specification of the considered first phase of calculations was characterized by the minimum phenomenological and computational complexity of the model. Moreover, it defined a computational exercise without any freedom degree. In fact, the first phase of benchmark calculations mainly aimed to a particularly clean comparative assessment of different computation methods used to evaluate power and temperature transients induced by beam interruptions of different duration.
