We perform a canonical quantization of gravity in a second-order formulation, taking as configuration variables those describing a 4-bein, not adapted to the spacetime splitting. We outline how, if we either fix the Lorentz frame before quantizing or perform no gauge fixing at all, the invariance under boost transformations is affected by the quantization. © 2007 IOP Publishing Ltd.
