Calculation of electron cyclotron current drive consistent with tokamak transport

Efficient calculations of electron cyclotron current drive (ECCD) in tokamaks are developed on the basis of a fully relativistic theory consistent with tokamak transport, which offers a new interpretation of the Fisch-Boozer mechanism. Results of modelling calculations in ITER-like plasmas are presented, showing current drive dependences on frequency, electron cyclotron launch angle and plasma temperature.
