The chapter describes the results of testing and validating CityLog©, a software tool developed by ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and the Environment) and the Department of Transport of University of Rome "La Sapienza", allowing the manager of a City Terminal to define in real-time the best delivering program even in a "within day" operational scheme.Firstly, a discussion of the modelling framework a concise description of the solution procedure, which is based on a two-string genetic algorithm that solves the Vehicle Routing Problem with vehicle capacity and time window constraints is provided. Finally, the results obtained by simulating the actual operation at the urban terminal of Padua Interport and a comparison with the results provided by TransCAD, one of the most popular software packages for transportation planning is presented. © 2008 Nova Science Publishers, Inc.
