Experimental constraints on the CKM generating matrix

Abstract

The exponential parametrization generates the CKM matrix by using an anti-Hermitian matrix, whose elements are directly linked to the weak-mixing angles and CP-violating phase. Recent experimental results from CLEO are used to state constraints on the entries of the pre-CKM matrix. The analysis of this paper supports the conclusion of previous investigations concerning the possibility of reducing the parameters of the standard model and is a further proof of the flexibility of the generating matrix method. © 1995 Società Italiana di Fisica.
