Extrinsic aggregated colour centres in KF:Na+

FBcentres have been produced in KF doped with different amount of Na. The intensity of the emission bands is related to the different doping and confirms the attribution of the 600 and 720 nm bands to FBcentres. The thermal stability of the emission bands and the rise and fall of a new 660 nm band give an indication of the complex kinetics of transformation of different centres.
