Microwaves have proven more interesting than traditional methods for the alcoholysis with methanol of triglycerides with heterogeneous catalysis allowing better yields and conversions into FAMEs (Fatty Acids Methyl Esters) in a short time and, consequently, less energy consumption. © 2004 Académie des sciences.
