Geodesic deviation on a Kaluza-Klein background

Abstract

In this work we consider the reduction of the geodesic deviation equation in the framework of the 5D Kaluza-Klein compactified model. We focus on the effects produced by the extra scalar field giving an equation describing the variation induced on the charge to mass ratio. Some physical implications are outlined.
