Ionic liquid-lithium salt electrolyte mixtures: Phase behavior and electrochemical characteristics

Abstract

The phase behavior of N-methyl-N-alkylpyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonate)imide-LiTFSI mixtures has been examined. Numerous mixed salt crystalline phases form in such mixtures and metastable phases which depend upon the thermal history of the samples may also exist. The ionic conductivity of the samples agrees well with the phase behavior with the crystalline phases having very low conductivities.
