Calculations of the ionization equilibria for Cu, Zn, Ga, and Ge ions are presented. Ionization and both radiative and dielectronic recombination data are collected from the published literature and assessed. Since these elements have not been widely considered in the literature, our analysis has encompassed all elements from Fe to Kr. Both interpolation and extrapolation have been found to be necessary. The data required for the evaluation of these rates and the ionization fractions have been tabulated. © 2002 Elsevier Science (USA).
