Abstract

Neutron and γ-ray flux spectra were measured with a NE 213 spectrometer in the rear block of a mock-up of the HCPB Test Blanket Module. The flux of the slow neutrons was investigated by time-of-arrival spectroscopy with a pulsed D-T neutron source. The experimental results were compared versus calculations performed with the Monte Carlo code MCNP and the data libraries EFF-3, FENDL-2.0 and FENDL-2.1, and are discussed with respect to the shielding capability of the TBM and to tritium breeding. © 2007.
