Abstract

The paper reports the measurements of thermal distributions inside a Dry Low NOx premixed combustor by using broadband Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy (CARS) in the planar BOXCARS configuration. Experimental spectra have been obtained for the main N2vibrational lines and temperature determination was derived by means of a comparison with simulated nitrogen spectra at atmospheric pressure via a neural network analysis which permitted instantaneous temperature measurements. © Society of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers.
